Sign up for our adult beginners’ sewing workshops and learn how to sew with sewing machines.

Over four classes, you will learn the basics of threading up a machine, sewing seams, using different stitches, and sewing simple projects. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. From each class, you’ll go home with a different completed project, such as drawstring bags and scrunchies.

If you have some experience using sewing machines, you may be interested in our Intermediate Sewing Machine Workshop instead.

Registration is required for this class (via the form below). Please only sign up if you can attend all four classes.
The number of our library sewing machines is limited, so if you have your own sewing machine, we encourage you to bring it.

Do you plan to bring your own sewing machine?
Classes are on 8, 15, 22, and 29 May.
Please be patient - click Submit once and wait. It may take a few seconds as your request is processed.
