Motif Poetry Slam is returning to Hamilton - it's a Poetry Slamilton! This isn't the poetry you learnt at school. It's alive. It's energetic. It explodes from the mic and flies around the room.
Get ready for three rounds of audience-judged, original work from established and emerging local performers. The poets will battle it out and by the end of the night we will crown a new Hamilton Slam Champion, who will go on to represent Kirikiriroa at the national NZ Poetry Slam! There will also be special guest performers.
Our slams are safe, fun, inclusive spaces and, whether you perform sonnets, rap, activism or comedy, all styles are welcome in this fun format.
This is a ticketed event. Tickets are available from Humanitix (general admission $15/concession $10).
