Pick collection documented

This week’s image is another from Mr. R.D. Pick’s slide collection, this time showing the beginnings of an archaeological excavation. A string line has been set up indicated a square to be excavated. Mr Pick was very involved in a number of archaeological excavations around the North Island and documented this through images and notes. The Pick Collection has recently been digitised and the records will soon be available to view via our Heritage Collections Online, alongside the extensive image collection.
