Splash of colour, but where is it?

To start off 2023, and to bring some colour to the dull weather, we have this photo taken from a slide transparency. Can you help us identify where this bright scene was located?
The photographer was Mr R.D. Pick, founder of Sunfruit Orchards at Rukuhia. Mr Pick was also an avid historian and archaeologist. His collection of archives is cared for by the Archives Team at Hamilton City Libraries and we have recently undertaken to digitise the collection.
