In the free Go Eco Environmental Workshop Series, Michael Heiler from Go Eco will introduce you to a range of gardening and biodiversity concepts and processes. No gardening experience necessary as this is a series for beginners and those interested in how they can help both themselves and the planet!
Workshop 1: Growing your own seedlings
This workshop is an introduction to raising your own seedlings. By raising your own seeds, you significantly increase the variety of plants that are available to you. The seedlings you can buy are only a fraction of the diverse range of seeds that are out there. The beautiful world of heritage vegetables lies in front of you with many varieties that will not only provide you with food but also with seeds for the years to come. Learning to raise plants from seed and care for them makes gardening cheaper and more exciting. We will demonstrate how to sow seeds and prick out seedlings. Bring along some of your favourite seeds and some stories about your successes and failures.
This programme will be held in-person at Central Library (Auaha Meeting Room). Attendees will be asked to observe the safety measures outlined on our COVID-19 Update page.
