  • Homebound
  • Are you unable to visit your local library? If you're confined to your home or have difficulty getting about, we can provide a free service direct to your door.

Our homebound service visits you regularly with your selection. If you're interested in this service, phone Manukau, our Homebound Co-ordinator, on 838 6844 and a suitable time will be arranged to visit and assess whether you are eligible for this service.

  • Community Room
  • Is your group or organisation looking for somewhere to meet? Hamilton City Libraries would love to help. Check out our community room at St Andrews Library. This venue has seating for up to 30, heating, off- street parking and tea-making facilities. The charge is $16.50 for non-profit groups or $54 for commercial groups.

For more details or to make a booking, contact the St Andrews Library, or phone 838 6847.

  • Storytime
  • Storytime is a fun-filled preschool programme tailored specifically for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The programmes feature stories, songs, movement and interactive fun which foster childrens' literacy. Caregivers can bond with their children as they enhance their social, cognitive, motor and musical skills. Storytime is held weekly during school terms at all libraries.

See below for Playgroup locations and times. Free to join. For more information and for information on our other pre-school programmes, please contact your local library.
