For a spacecraft that spends most of its life sleeping, NASA's New Horizons probe is in the midst of an eventful year. Speeding toward a 2015 rendezvous with distant Pluto, the spacecraft passes the halfway point of its journey in 2010. And it does so not once, but twice.
