Are you coming Tree Planting at Lake Waiwhakareke? Its on Thursday, July 8th. Please remember to wear warm old clothes. You will be out in the mud. This is the third year we have planted trees here and we are really making an impact in restoring it into the native reserve we want it to be.

The first five steps in your science project are worth 25 points each. The final step will be marked on how much effort you put in. You could earn up to 50 points. The house with the most points at the end of programme claims the Tri-Libraries Environmental Cup. There will also be an extra special bonus activities. Thursday, July 8th kids can visit lake Waiwhakareke and help plant trees to protect the area. More information here.
