Passover

Passover is celebrated by the Jewish people for eight days and commemorates the Israelites' (an historic name for the Jewish people) freedom from Egyptian slavery. The Israelite people were slaves in Egypt during the reign of the Pharaoh Ramses II 3000 years ago.
